  • 1.  Removing or Changing Installation Packages from AD OU's

    Posted May 08, 2013 12:15 AM

I am currently test upgrading our clients from SEP 11 to SEP 12 in an OU Structure using the "Upgrade Clients with Package" wizard. I know you have to place the Installation Package(s) inside each OU and I have done so. I missed a step in one of the packages to 'display a notification message'. When I try to redeploy the package with the notification, they will not update. I was wondering if there is something I missed in redeploying OR if that is not possible; how do I remove the Installation Package from our (very detailed) OU structure. I really don't want to go through the tree.

    Thank you,
    James

is this install package through SEPM console for OU? if yes, delete the client install package for the OU group.

For that login the console with admin id and delete/un-check the package which you have configured in. Then reconfigure it as per your requirement.

    pete,
Yes, it was done with the Enterprise SEPM (exactly like ManishS instructions). Unfortunately, the install packages does not "inherit" so it was put in each branch of the AD Structure. I would have to do that, literally, hundreds of times; or are you saying to delete the "master" installation package from the Admin/Install Packages area?
