  • 1.  Removing SEP12.1 RU2

    Hello,

    SEP12.1 RU2 is not getting removed from one server. Could you please help let me know how can I get rid of the corrupted install and install freshly.

    The SEP_instal.log says pending reboot however I have rebooted 4 to 5 times :O

    The release of 12.1 RU2 included an updated CleanWipe utility & now it works/performs much better.

    Contact Support for the updated Clean wipe for 12.1RU2. It will help u.

    Here are the recommended methods for uninstalling the Symantec Endpoint Protection client.

    Uninstall for a small group of clients For a handful of clients we recommend using the standard Windows uninstall method. Please find a step-by-step guide to this process in the knowledge base document "Uninstalling the client".
    Uninstall for a large group of clients When accessing each client physically is not practical, there are many ways to automate the process.  While we cannot list all possible options in this article, here are several documented processes:
