    Hi there,

I recently had my Windows profile removed and recreated because it was virus-infected.

I asked the IT guy who recreated my profile to copy over to the new profile the folders:

    C:\users\<my-username>\AppData\Local\PGP Coprporation

    C:\users\<my-username>\AppData\Roaming\PGP Coprporation

    C:\users\<my-username>\Documents\PGP

My disk is encrypted with SDE, and I am still listed as authorized user for my laptop, meaning that I go through the Bootguard with my domain password.

My LSR question are still valid (I asked the Bootguard to ask me the questions and they ar there, my old questions.

What is happening is that the Enrollment Windows shows up as if I didn't enroll.

I wouldn't like to go through the Security Questions cicle again and loose my old LSR questions.

Any idea on how can I prevent the Enrollment window from popping up?

    Thanks

    Roberto

The Bootguard authentication / questions and the enrollment are 2 separate processes.

Because you have a new profile it will have different GUIDs, which is why PGP Desktop thinks you are a new user (in all intents and purposes you are)

I cannot think of a way to fool it without going into the database of the server and mess around with the tables.

Your only recourse is to re-enroll unfortunately and go through the questions again.  Once you've done that you should remove the old user from the laptop and add your new profile to it again.

Thank you Alex, actually since the day after this changing-windows-profile operations, the Enrollment windows does not pop up anymore....

Do you think I will have problems in the future?

What I did is to copy once again the user\AppData\Roaming\PGP Coprporation folder over to the new profile folder, and rebooted the laptop of course.

    Thank you

    Regards

Do you now have 2 users on the Universal Server?  I would imagine you do.
