    This cant be real do we really need to reinstall the symantec endpoint protection small business 12.0 just to renew licens for it
    if i buy 12.1 symantec endpoint protection small business 10 users pack, it must be possible to install eth slf file to the old symantec endpoint protection small business 12.0 program the conslulting of reinstalling the program symantec endpoint protection small business 12.1 will be ridicilous compare to any other AV program there i never heard of that you are forced to reinstall symantec endpoint protection small business 12.1 to renew licens of symantec endpoint protection small business 12.0

    If you're upgrading from 12.0.x to 12.1.x, you should be able to do an in-place migration, then apply your new license file.

    You can directly upgrade from 12.0 to 12.1 SBE and then apply the licenses, That should take care of the issue.

    Just ask Licnesing Team to Provide you 12.0 License File if you dnt want to upgrade

    Hello,

    I agree with Sandra. "Thumbs Up" to her suggestion.

    I see no reason to worry.

    When you are purchasing a 10 users pack of Symantec Endpoint Protection Small Business version 12.1. You get the License for the same. 

    In that case, you should migrate the Symantec Endpoint Protection Small Business version 12.0 to Symantec Endpoint Protection Small Business version 12.1

    When you migrate from 

    SEP SBE 12.0 > SEP SBE 12.1 (SBE Upgrade) it Keeps the same license

    and from 

    SEP SBE 12.x > SEP 12.1 (EE upgrade)  you would have to Remove old licenses, adds and activates upgrade license.

    You can seemlessly migrate from Symantec Endpoint Protection Small Business version 12.0 to Symantec Endpoint Protection Small Business version 12.1 using the Article which Sandra suggested.

    Licensing info is maintained from 12.0 sme to 12.1 sme. There should not be any issue.
