In our organisation some of sep clients are not getting updates from Symantec endpoint protection server, After some analysis found that the clients which have not been updated that is moved from other site and there was different Symantec Endpoint Protection Server, so clients are trying to connect that server only. Someone has advised me to replace communication settings on those clients which having problem.

Hello,

You can replace the Sylink file to communicate with current Server.

How many clients are not communicated?

What is the SEPM version?

If clients count are low then use SylinkDrop Tool

If those clients are of 12.1 RU2 then use the link to reset communication

If older than 12.1 RU2 then contact with Symantec Technical Support Team.

Hi,

Thank you for posting in Symantec community.

I would be glad to answer your question.

You have multiple SEPM's but they don't have any relation between them?

Failover/ loadbalancing or Replaction?

If not then will have to restore the communcation using Sylink replacer tool.
