  • 1.  Replicated polices on child NS 7.1

    Can a child NS version 7.1, override the settings for a policy that have been replicated from a parent?

    For example, if there are clients reporting to a child NS that are blue screening from a software delivery, can that software delivery job be changed on that child server, and that child server only?

    Hi,

    In ITMS 7.1 for some policies (for example plug-in installation policies or Managed Software Delivery Policies) it is possible to define options which will be editable on child NS server after replication.

    There is a picture showing UI controlling the options on the parent NS. 3 options can be controlled - turning the policy ON or Off, defining policy target and defining policy schedule.

    Note that recommended way of management hierarchy environment - doing all the management operations from the parent NS. Any management operations from child NSes are not recommended.
