  • 1.  Replication of DB between SEPMv11 servers over a DS3 line

    Hi Team,

Would it be advisable to replicate databases of two different sites (1 SEPMv11 server each with separate DB servers) over a DS3 circuit for replication purposes?

It is advisable to replicate to a different site regardless of the speed of the internet connection. The only problem is if it would affect your normal operations while doing so.
Does anybody know the bandwidth usage of the replication for SEP? Does it use the usual database replication methods?

Another question would be, what would be the minimum frequency of replication to attain better performance?
Is there a standard? Best practice?
If bandwith would eat up my circuit better get the most for both.

    Thanks,

1/week would be sufficient. Do it during off-peak hours. Daily replications would be overkill. We do that manually for the Threat Reporter (and we sometimes forget ).
