Replication issue i had

In short.

SEPM MR4 uses Internet Explorer settings to connect to other site for replication. In our case in those settings it tells to use corporate proxy server. Proxy server denied replication between SEPM sites.

Lissome,

 

Did you only setup the connection through the IE proxy configurations?

 

You might want to setup the proxy settings in the SEPM.

 

Admin (Left Pane), Choose Servers (bottom of page), Select the Site you would like to configure (if multiple), select your Server, Properties, and in here on the top right, you have a "Proxy Server" tab.

 

Set up your configuration to your proxy server here, I.E. IP address, User Name and password, etc.

 

See if that helps and allows replication through

I did proxy settings in SEPM. They still there. Those settings are used for connection to securityresponse and liveupdate.

Replication though goes within LAN. Why SEPM takes IE proxy settings for that is mistery for me. Why proxy at all?

 

For now all works fine for me. SEPM gets updates through proxy. Replications go by schedule.
