Replication Server Problem
Updated: 21 May 2010 | 3 comments
I wonder if anyone can help with this scenario,
If I have two SEPM servers configured in a replication partner setup & have been advised that I need to change the IP Address of the remote site :
would I need to break the replication partner, then change the ip address of the server & then re-add the replication partner.
Would I need to uninstall & re-install ?
would I be able to just change it ?
Cheers

Hi, Thanks for the response
Hi, Thanks for the response Peterpan . That was the only article I had been able to find....
However, that link is moving the management server to a new server with a different IP Address and Name . I'll be keeping the management server on the same box & using the same name , just a different IP Address.
If that's the only article , then I guess I'm going to have to break replication , uninstall & re-install then re-add replication ??
again, thanks

IP is important
IP is important for communication as well.
Changing IP would affect, If you have few clients
brake the rep and install it..if you are okay with it.
