    Hi,

I have some simple questions I would like to ask about the Vontu Suite:

What kinds of reports are generated by Vontu (by user, by compliance, etc)? Are those reports possibly sent to users by e-mail for example?

Is the administration interface web-based? If so is the access role-based?

Does the data-at-rest scanner provide fast scanning? eg: incremental scanning

Does the DLP suite offer any kind of encryption, in which case?

    Does Vontu import AD users?

Is it possible to direct me to a document where I could find more detailed information about the whole product, other than the datasheets :) ?

    thank you.

     Hi,
Here are some answers for you:
    1. Symantec DLP 10 can generate reports by any standard you like (for example: user, type of data, location, policy, computer, severity, and more)
    2. The administration is web based (HTTPS) the access to the system is role based and you can design the look of the console by roles. the console can fully integrate with Active Directory and allow accessing the console by AD Authentication.
    3. Network Discover (Data At Rest) can do a full scan and then incremental scans in order to speed up the procedure and preserve network bandwidth, you could also create exception file type that wont be scanned in order to achieve better speeds. the system could get up to 1TB a day when allowing full throttling.
    4. Symantec DLP's provide encryption from the enforce server to the Detection servers and client to server encryption as well. the access to the console is based on HTTPS.
    5. Symantec DLP has full integration with AD. you can create policies according to the AD users and groups.
About the document, you should consider contacting your local Symantec Partner for more details.
If you have any more question don't be shy and ask.
