Reports in HTML rather than PDF

Is there somewhere in the app where i can specify that I'd like to have my reports generated in html instead of pdf?

i've got one machine that doesn't have acrobat reader installed, so these reports are in html. it seems that the html reports are generated according a schedule that i have set up. on the machines that have acrobat installed, the pdf are not generated unless i view the report.

the reason i ask is that i need to collect the reports daily (part of a Sarbanes-Oxley requirement), and I wanted to be able to go the containing folder on each machine to grab them instead of having to log in to each machine, view the report and then 'save as' to my network drive. thanks!

Hello,

Reports are generated using Crystal Reports and can be viewed and printed in an HTML file format. If the Adobe Acrobat Reader is detected by Backup Exec, reports are displayed in Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF). Therefore, if you want reports to be generated always in html format, uninstall Acrobat Reader.

Hope this answers your querry.

Regards.

Hello,

You can get the reports in HTML format evenif you do not uninstall the Adobe Acrobat reader.

The Reports that are generated can be converted to different file types by using the bemcmd utility.

On the command prompt run the following command:

C:\Program Files\VERITAS\Backup Exec\NT>bemcmd -o402 -i

This will generate the Report IDs for the respective reports generated.

Report ID Report Title

On the command prompt run the following command

C:\Program Files\VERITAS\Backup Exec\NT>bemcmd -o402 -r42 -ft:1 -f\report.htm

It will save as c:\report.html

Where r42 is the report ID for the respective report(in this case report for Backup Success rate)
converted to an Excel Report.

-ft: | use -ft:0 to use .rpt with saved|

Hello,

1. Please do not install the software. We are sorry for the earlier reply, the technote basically does not apply to your product.

2. Please try reapiring the database:
