  • 1.  Reputation check for unproven files failed because of network errors for the last 3 days.

    Bonjour,

    I installed Symantec Endpoint Protection on a system protected by an IP Access-List. Only ports 8014 to SEPM and 7070 to LiveUpdate Servers are opened. It's impossible to have access to the Internet. All seems to be functional except a repeat file reputation errors. I installed the smallest package, Basic Server with Anti-Virus and Anti-Spyware, v12.1 RU5.

    Anyone can help me to resolve this problem?

    If you don't have Internet access then you can disable Download Insight

    Customizing Download Insight settings

    I already disable the Download Insight.  o.O

    See attachment, the Download Protection settings.

    I disable too the Insight Settings in the Global Scan Options.

    In that same policy under Advanced options >> Global Scan Options, do you have "Enable Insight for.." unchecked?

    Ensure that your scheduled and manual scans do not use Insight Lookup.

    Check the Administrator defined scan >> Insight Lookup tab..is "Enable Insight Lookup" checked?

    Check the same under Administrator On-demand Scan settings...is it enabled here as well?

    Try to disable Insight lookups:

    Clients > Policies > Settings > External Communications Settings > Disable Allow Insight lookups for threat detection.
