    Hello;

    I have a customer who has some question regarding OS SYmbian and they would like to know up to what point this OS is secured and th level of risks compare to Android and IOS. this customer is working on a project to secure their Mobile and are studying also Symantec solution.

    In addition to the above the release notes  http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH122990 for Symbian we mention release 9 to 9.4 but the version "Belle" which is an update of Symbian 3 is not mentioned.Also Symbian 1 to 3 is not mentionned, Do we support these versions or do we plan to include them in future?

    Best regards

    Hi Saber,

    The current SEPME 6.0.1 covers the versions of Symbian listen in that article you have found.  There are later releases of Symbian which have appearance and capabilities quite like an iPhone or Android, but SEPME 6.0.1 was not designed to support these.

    Here is another good article:

    Also note: Nokia (which has long used the Symbian OS on its devices) looks like it may be moving toward using Windows Mobile.  The Lumia 800 uses Windows Phone as its OS.  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nokia_Lumia_800

    Hope this helps!
