I read through the threads, opened the case #. I'm on hold but I'm sure your phone support is busy. I could really use this to clean a broken install that needs to leave on a laptop for a trip.

I'm sorry that you are still on hold, I think someone from symantec can give you the tool.
will get the reply soon, in the mean time if you want to remove broken install
you can try this tool from MS

Ah. I have that. I think my brain defaulted it to a "MS Product Removal" tool, but I know that's not the case. A later thread should provide me the tool but if not I'll use that.

 You should get it once a Tech Support rep gets your case. Hope you have queued it to the right queue.

The most helpful part of entire Symantec connect is the Search button..do use it.
