Hi friends, I've read a lot in this website of symantec forums about "License Renewal" but I still have some doubts, so... one specific question.... It is required that my customer buy a renewal of license after a year? or he only "could" buy it?

After a year (In theory, the license expires) my customer won't receive any update using LiveUpdate?

Thanks in advance...

HB

Licensing

Licensing with SEP is on the "honor" system so to speak.  There is no physical license to install with SEP.  The customer/client would still receive LiveUpdate but would be out of compliance by downloading them after their license has expired.  Also, that customer would not be able to recieve product upgrades/updates via FileConnect in order to keep the product updated.

thats right... but as long as

thats right...
but as long as virus definitions could be downloaded, you could still have good protection...
new MR features may not be available due to the expired license.

thanks..
