Team,

How to reset the SEPM Password we didnot find the reset file in symantec path.

For 12.1? If so, see this excellent article by Symantec's Mithun Sanghavi for all the details on how to reset the SEPM password:

...and depending on what version of 12.1 that you're on be aware of the following statement in the article:

"Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1 Release Update 1 Maintenance Patch 1 (RU1 MP1) or greater does not use resetpass.bat and it has been removed from the Tools directory."

Additionally, if none of the above help, you can call support and they can provide the resetpass.bat file for you. If you have a copy somewhere you can also try that.

you can use resetpass.bat if you are running 11.x versions it can be found in tools directory

for 12.1 you need to call support to get the tool

If you have lost the password to login to the SEPM
then Run the RESETPASS.bat file from the command prompt
 
Path
c:\program files\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\tools\resetpass
 
Close the command prompt Try logging into the SEPM
username:admin
password:admin
for 12.x you can select the firgot password and enter the email id which you have enter when login create
for the reset.bat for 12.x you can contact with tech support

Hi,

Thank you for posting in Symantec community.

You can now recover the password via email.

If you are not sure which email id configured in that case:

1. Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\tomcat\etc

2. Open mailConfig.properties file with the help of Notepad.

3. You will find following entry:

"adminMailReciptants=abc@symantec.com"

In this example abc@symantec.com is the recipient email address.

For 11.x SEPM resetpass tool is available in tool folder of SEPM program files.

For 12.x

you can open the Console and click on Forgot your Password. New password will be email which you have added while setup the SEPM.

contact with Tech Support and get the resetpass tool from there
