  • 1.  Resize partitions from Ghsot Console 1.1

    Hi,
Im having trouble finding out how to restore an image and resize the partitions at the same tome from a task.
i put sze1=8000M in the additional switches dialogue, but the task fails with no useful indication.

On the client, it appears to be putting my switch ahead of all the others, it's hard to see as it fails and reboots so quickly.

Any pointers would be gratefully appreciated!

Hopefully this isnt an insulting question but in your additional arguments did you precede "sze1=8000M " with the "-" .  Believe it or not, that dash is not assumed when you add additional arguments.  Otherwise from what I can tell you are trying to resize your first partition to 8 gigs.  Assuming you have a drive that is at least that large and additionally has enough space to hold the data from  your other partitions then it should work.

if none of the above is helpful then when the ghost command fails and reboots back to the DOS partition prior to booting to windows hit F8 to get the DOS menu and skip all the commands until you are at a DOS prompt.  Then go in to the ghost folder and view the ghosterr.txt file and post what it has here.

Not insulting at all - and it's fixed my problem, wasn't aware that it needed to be preceeded by a "-"l :smileyhappy:

    Many thanks!
