    "Drivers could not be found in the PreOS for the following devices" error message when running Symantec Ghost tasks (TECH110149)

    Problem

    You receive "Drivers could not be found in the PreOS for the following devices" error message at "To Virtual Partition" when running Symantec Ghost tasks. Together with the error message, the mass storage device is named.

    Why does Symantec Ghost need drivers for Windows Vista when imaging some other operating system? (TECH110792)

    Problem

    Symantec Ghost is reported to need Vista 32 bit drivers for NIC's and mass storage devices when using Windows PE. Why should Symantec Ghost need Vista drivers when imaging a system running some other operating system such as Windows XP, 2k3, etc.?
