    Does any one know how the "Connectivity" percent is generated when looking at a machine through Resource manager in SMP?

    Specifically, going to Manage - Computer - (putting in computer name and double clicking) - and then looking at the information under "Symantec Management Agent Details". (see image below)... where does SMP get the 1% connectivity??

    Hi,

    Connectivity data taken from the "Basic Inventory", see "AeX AC Client Connectivity" data class:

    Thank you,

    Alex.

    Looks like your client wasn't able to communicate with NS some time and once connection to NS was restored, then on next send basic inventory it has sent LAN, WAN, NONE values according to time/date range of last successfully connectivity.

    Example of basic inventory from client, where SMA wasn't able to communicate with NS some time. And when SMA was able to establish connection to NS, then it has calculated these values regarding connectivity:

    <body>
            <inventory>
                <dataClass name="AeX AC Client Connectivity">
                    <data>
                        <resource partialUpdate="false">
                            <row c0="95" c1="0" c2="5" hash="_______" />
                        </resource>

    If SMA will be online and communicating with NS some time(day(s)), receiving new policies and sending basic inventory, then after some time it should send updated information for "AeX AC Client Connectivity" DataClass. At least your "LAN" will not be shown as 1% and will be changed to more and more %, finally it will be 100% back if there will be no connection problems between this client PC and NS.

    "AeX AC Client Connectivity" DataClass shows connectivity statistics per managed client for a whole time, since it was discovered on this Notification Server and served.
