Respond OK to finish job?

Created: 17 Jun 2013 | 6 comments

In order to finish the backup job I get a message to "Respond OK" and then remove media.

The media has already been ejected before I respond OK but the job is still showing as in progress.  After I repsond OK it shows the job as being finshed.  Is there anyway to not have to got into Backup Exec and do this interaction?

Thanks

You could go to configure that alert to be auto responded as"OK". Refer to these articles for help

Go to Tools ---> Alert Categories and look for the Media Remove Alert.  You can then configure your auto-response.

Hello
For BE 2012 if you try to configure the Alerts it will set to Cancel and the option may be grade out too.

You will have to set the Respond from BEUtility.

Please refer to the following technote:

http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH160277 : "Respond with" field is grayed out when trying to set up automatic response for Media Remove or Library Insert Alerts

Thanks,

Hope this piece of Information Helps you... and if it does then mark this response as Solution....!!!

This is not true for any version of BE.  Not all auto-response for the alerts are set to Cancel by default.  The auto-response for the Media Remove alert is set to O.K.

Hello PKH,
I hope you have read my post and specially you have read the technote carefully. It specifically says "Media Remove or Library Insert Alerts" and refers only to BE 2012.

Thanks,
