I have been having issues restoring a image taken from a Compac EVO to a new HP DX 7500
I've install all the necessary drivers when prompted but when the new pc boots and starts windows it will reboot and continue to reboot until I shut the pc off. Anybody know what I'm missing?

I am using the 2010 SRD.
My settings are:
Restore drives after recovery.
Check for file system errors after recovery
Restore original disk signature.
Restore master boot record..

Thanks

Disable Auto Reboot

-Perform your restore with Restore Anyware
-Open a command prompt within the SRD and disable auto reboot by navigating to your restored OSes SYSTEM registry hive file and loading it up via regedit;
  HKLM\System\ControlSet001\Control\CrashControl \AutoReboot
  Setting this key to zero would disable the auto reboot
-Search for setup*.log and setup*.txt files and delete them from your restored OS.
-Reboot machine and let BSOD, note stop code
-Boot back into the SRD and look at the setup*.log and setup*.txt files for clues for what's going wrong.
 *Pay attention to what's in the setuperr.log file.

***You could also try restore with Restore Anyware and uncheck Run Mini Setup to see if you can get to the OS log on screen.

Hope this helps :)
