  • 1.  Restore backed up files

     I have files that backed up from another SEE laptop onto my external drive and personal laptop. These files were loaded asXML files. How can I restore the files to original MS Word, Excel and Power point and decrypt them.  Do I have to purchase the software and load it into my laptop? Please help!

    Hi Davendra,

    The files that you have are encrypted with SEE Removable Media/ Storage, and hence have the .xml extension.

    To access this files you will either need to have SEE install on the other machine, else you can copy the Removable Media Access Utility from the orignal machine on the external drive and then access the files using it on any other non SEE machine, the only requirement will be the password/certificate used to encrypt the file.
