Hi, on one server i have Backup Exec 9.1 and i have copied the backup files created to a portable hard drive. I am now trying to restore files from the backup. I have installed a fresh copy of Veritas Backup Exec 9.1 on a different machine, and i have the backup files on my removable drive.

Within the fresh installation of Vertias, as the files were created on a different computer there are no catalog files to select from, can i somehow import the backup files i have on my removable disk into Veritas so i can select which files i want to restore?

Kind Regards,
Chris

You need to create a B2D folder on the new server, then copy the BKF files to it, then inventory and catalog

After that, the files should be available in the Restore Selections Pane
