Restore Deleted AD Users Files

Is there a way to restore the files of a users that was deleted from Active Directory? I saw and old post referring to DLOScanTool but was not sure if it would still be valid for Version 12

What exactly are you talking about restoring? an Exchange mailbox? User files? How were they backed up initially?

I need to restore files backed up by the DLO of a past user which was deleted from Active Directory.
