Is there a technical document to describe how to restore to a larger hard drive?
Thanx,
GK

We did it several times, it's no problem. BESR creates the original structure of the disk, the rest is simply unused space. If you mean to extend a the disksize after the restore - I don't  think that BESR can do this.

Yes, I believe BESR has the ability to restore to a bigger disk size and extend the partition to fill the entire new larger disk.  Question is how.

The process is on page 183 of the user guide for BESR 2010; http://support.veritas.com/docs/336194

To do the recovery to a larger drive, you simply delete the partition that is automatically defined, select the unpartitioned space to restore into, and use the option to resize the drive after recovery. The resize option is only available on unpartitioned space, that's why you need to delete the defined partition.

Hello Jon_R

Can you direct and provide me with documentation that will provide guidance on acheiving the same task.   Restoreing to a bigger hard disk size using BESR 8.5.6 or 8.5.5?

Thank you
