Hello Newsgroup,

my scenario is an exchange 2000 Server on Windows 2000. Backup Exec Version is 9.1.

My problem is, that after restoring outlook tasks in a existing mailbox every existing task will be duplicated. This phenomen is also when restoring calendar entries.
This problem doesn't appear when recovering folders with emails in it.
I also uses the overwrite feature in veritas when restoring.
Is there something I did wrong?

Thanks for help,

Michael

Hi,

The mails ,calendar & task pad entries will be duplicated when you restore from a backup and those entries are already present in the mailbox.
You can refer the Technote below for more info on this
Upon completing a restore of an Exchange Mailbox, the mailbox has duplicate mail messages.
http://seer.support.veritas.com/docs/237260.htm
There are no tools from Veritas to find and delete duplicate mailbox items.

We hope this helps.
