The restore job has no selections in restoring MSSQL database

This issue has been solved. See solution.

Upon recovering a backup set for MSSQL, with the option:

To an individual backup set that I select from all available backup sets for this database. (to Leave the database nonoperational)

Obtain the error:

Updating restore job.....

Unable update the sqlserver restore 000xx.

The restore job has no selections.

 

But If I use the same backup set with:

To the latest available backup set time

o:

To a backup set time that I select

This successful.

When I do what you did, I get a list of backup sets to choose from.  You should open a support case with Symantec so that they can look at this problem.
