Restore job not performing, even after hotfix

Hello all,

I'm trying to run a Restore Job from a backup-to-Disk folder to restore a mailbox.

When I first tried to run the job I was given the error:

"e009446 - Unable to perform a normal restore becuase the maximum backup set size was exceeded. Please disable "Fast File Restore" and rerun the restore job"

I disabled the "Fast File Restore" in the BEUtility config, ran the job again and got the same error, so I followed the link and it lead me to a hotfix that was suggested to install if the same error repeats itself even after disabling "Fast File Restore", I installed the hotfix and am still getting the same error.

I've even deleted the catalogs, re-cataloged, restarted all BE Services and still the same error.

Any ideas how to get this restore to work?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Could be the patch is corrupt...remove the patch, try the restore, and then reapply it afterwards.

THanks!

If you find this is a solution, please mark it as such.

Try disabling Fast File

Try disabling Fast File Restore from the registry instead of using BEUtility ( there were few cases where re-starting BE services enabled Fast File Restore again when changed through BEUtility )

Use this KB http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH128478 with the only difference being the above step
