This issue has been solved. See solution.

Team

we have one Master server 7.5.0.3 which has 3 media servers running on same version as master in window 2008 R2

Now issue is 1 out of 3 is dedecated SAN Media server and other other two are normal media servers which has connected to DD

But while initating any Restore , restore job is taking SAN dedicated Media server instead of other two and some times it is taking the actual media server only but most of the time it is taking Dedicated SAN Media server

we have not mentioned any restore failover option in our environment but still why it is taking ?

Please help me out to resolve the above issue

Regards,

Phani Kumar

Please see this TN:  http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH87200

You need to create <install-path\veritas\netbackup\db\config\USE_BACKUP_MEDIA_SERVER_FOR_RESTORE touchfile on the master to assign restore request to media server who wrote the backup.
