restore jobs fails

Hi all,

we are running BE 2010 and since a view days, sometimes i recive restore errors with catalogs issues.

So I would like to repair the catalogs, is ther a possibility to do that?

or i have to rebuild the catalogs? delete all catalogs and recatallog all tapes.

Hello,

You may start by running the 'catrebuildindex -r' command(refer to the 10th point in the following article: http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH142684 and if that does not work then follow all the steps mentioned in it).

You might want to start with a new Catalog directory. Stop all the BE services and rename the existing Catalog directory to Catalog.old. Crate a new Catalog directory and then restart all the BE services
