This issue has been solved. See solution.

I deploy a new server of netbackup 7.5 and I need to import the catalog from the old server.

The old server has netbackup 6.0 and has problems, so I can´t upgrade this machine to Netbackup 7.X

Anyone know how can do it?

I try to restore a backup of the catalog, but the versions are not the same and this solution doesn´t work.

As you have figured out - previous/older version catalog backup cannot be restored to newer version NBU.
Plus there is no way to 'import' an old catalog backup.

You have two choices:

1. Fix old server so that you can upgrade and then use catalog backup and restore to migrate.

2. Start importing tapes.

POSSIBLE third option, but NO guarantee that it will work:
Use Recovery without Import method to copy image folders across.
The reason for my doubt is that I have never personally tried this in version 7.5 with the image headers that have been moved to EMM database.
If you are interested in this method, best to log a Support call to check if it will work.
