Restoring a Stand-Alone Server 2003 Domain Controller w\Active Directory
Hi,
When doing a bare metal restore using BESR, does Active Directory also get restored? If not, what other steps would have to be taken to get our one and only domain controller with Active Directory up and running again?
Thank you,
Steve

As long as you image the drive(s) that contain the AD databases and structure, the AD will be available to be restored as well. Since this is a stand-alone domain controller, simply restoring all the drives would bring the AD back online.
