  • 1.  Risk for Excluding file/folder from Real time/Schedule/Manual Scan

    Hi,

    AS per business requriement, we want to exclude few files and folders from Realtime/Manual/Schedule scan. We are currently using SEP 12.1 RU1MP1.

    Just help us with the Information Security RISK associated with the exclusion.

    You should be carefull while excluding folders

    Users can see what folders are excluded from the SEP client console ( you should disable this option)

    once excluded the folder can be used to download any malicious software as it wont be scanned.

    Better to exclude just the file rather than the entire folder.
