rman delete obsolete fail netbackup 7.0 for oracle

Created: 20 Oct 2011 | 2 comments

Hi

we are backing up an oracle database with netbackup and rman catalog.

After reading the netbackup doc for oracle. I am implementing the crosscheck needed and the delete expire and obsolete.

I have the following issues

  1. with the delete obsolete which return the rman error RMAN-06214  for backupset and archivelog all;
  2. I keep saying time to time "database reset to incarnation to" after issuing a command.
  3. If I do a list expired I see in the list the backup done the night before ?

Hope someone can help.

regards

Pascal

Better to ask on an Oracle forum though I believe you'd want to run

  RMAN> crosscheck copy
  RMAN> delete obsolete
