Dear support,

what is the roadmap for PGP WDE for Mac OS X 10.7 (Lion)?

Can we expect support for Lion any time soon?

Best regards,

Rob

+1 to this.

The last thread I read that had an approximate release timeline noted September, or possibly late August if things went well. And that update came toward the end of July. A month has past and there has been no further word from Symantec. Not even anything unofficial. I know this treatment of their product has to make the old PGP crew weep because they would have been all over this, making sure everyone was as informed as possible as to what's going on. I dare say they even would have been better prepared than things have been under the new reigns.  Regardless:

Symantec, are you out there? Anything new to tell us? We're still anxiously awaiting this. OS X may only be about 7% of the market share (give or take), but set that against the approximately 10,000 users I'm charged with supporting and you're talking about HUNDREDS of users asking and waiting for this update. Actually, to be honest, not so many are asking or waiting anymore.  I'm getting tired of them saying they'll just use Lion's encryption, but who can blame them?  I have no information to give them!

MIke_John and Swendland - Symantec told you before Lion was released to not upgrade to it until the next release of PGP WDE was FIPS certified and compatible with Lion. I can understand the frustration this would cause for owners of new Macs that shipped with Lion, but why would you allow your users to UPGRADE to Lion if WDE is a requirement in your environment? Snow Leopard is a damn good OS and certainly will serve your users' needs through September. Don't your users have to perform acceptability and compatability testing for all the custom / internal and COTS products they use before they upgrade their OS? Sheesh.

You don't download MP1 from PDC. All maintenance packs are downloaded through Fileconnect. So follow the instructions in the above PDF under "general release".
