    When i tried to install SEP client on a host today, the installation rolled back. Does anyone know why?

    there are many thing can do it. What is your OS and SEP Version. And did you see log files return code 3  or 4?

    look for a file called SEP_INST.log on the machine.  It's either going to be c:\documents and settings\%USERNAME%\Local Settings\Temp or c:\windows\temp.  Open the file up, and do a search for return value 3.  Look at the 10 or 15 lines above that to see the reason for backing out.  If you can't tell paste that 10 or 15 lines above return value 3 here in this thread.

    windows xp sp2 and sep 11 mr6. I didnt see any log files. when the installation was just about to complete, it rolled back.

    Did you see Live update in your Add / Remove Programms panel?
    if you see uninstall it, restart the computer and try to install again.
    And It should create a log file.
    By the way if you havent any problem about update your Pc to SP3 please update it. sp3 is more secure.
