RPC Server unavailable

I have recently taken over the management of Storage Central 5.2 and I am having difficulties with running the reports.
When I try to submit reports I get the error message "RPC Server Unavailable". An output file is created with "No objects meet the selected criteria", although I know this is not true.
I know that this is a recognised problem and have installed SP1 and 2.
However the issue is still unresolved. Has anyone else come up against this issue after installing the SPs?

The RPC Server is unavailable

Details:
When trying to connect to another server using the VERITAS Storage Exec (tm) 5.3 Administration Console, the error "RPC Server is unavailable." is returned.

This error may occur if the connection to a remote server is temporarily interrupted, i.e. restarting the QuotaAdvisor service, or the server to which you are connecting is behind a firewall which does IP address translation. Storage Exec uses Distributed Component Object Model (DCOM) which requires the IP address of the server to communicate. You must reconfigure your firewall, or manage this server from the same network segment.

I also have the same problem... And it is when i am trying to run reports from the local server, not a remote server as the KB describes.

I have the same problem too, when i launch a trending report in the same server...

I have the same problem, but when i enter the license the problem was solve but i installed the hot fix numer 14 and the problem come back.

you can also receive this error when you run a report on a machine which has a firewall on or the machine where you're running the report from doesn't have access to the remote machine.

Hello all!
i have the same problem with SE 5.5, when i try to switch on option to scan inside archives i'm getting this error. I have two cases opened with dearest VERITAS Support about this problem and still I had no reply at all. Does anybod know what to do with error? we have no firewalls at all.
