I'm using SAV 10.1.6.6010 on our servers. These servers are Domain Controllers, with Exchange 2003 and Oracle installed.
I've excluded all working folders of exchange and oracle.
Every friday a scheduled scan is started, and after some time rtvscan.exe is using 50% or more cpu time. This behaviour is not on all servers; most of the servers seems to scan just fine. The thing is that I can't pinpoint a specific server, because it seems to happen randomly. One week it is just 1 server, another week 4 servers.
The only way to resolve the problem is to reboot the servers. I can't stop the Symantec services when rtvscan is using this high amount of CPU time.
Is there a tool to stop rtvscan? And does anybody know what is the cause of this problem?
