I have a user that is experiencing high CPU and memory usuage during the weekly scans. I have excluded the ost file from outlook as exception to try to improve speed of the scan as well as adjusted the scan setting to "balanced" to try to improve the results. I do not believe this is making an impact.

During the scheduled scans it is disrupting thier ability to use thier machine.

    60% CPU usuage

    Processes running 56

    Version 11MP3 Currently Running

    Windows XP System

    SavUI.exe process 6K

    Iexplorer 70K

    Rtvscan.exe 43K

    Outlook 175K

I would suggest to run 11.0.6 on this machine and check the CPU, performance issues are fixed in this issue.

    Hello,

Make sure you are carrying the Latest version of SEP 11.0.6300.

Are there any Network mapped drives on the machine??

Exclude the mapped network drives from scheduled scans on SEP clients.

Instead, perform scheduled scans on these drives from the server to which they are attached.
