  • 1.  RTVSCAN.exe high memory usage

    Hi

    Having Symantec Server 10.1.7.7000, found high memory usage of rtvscan.exe also can see process dumprep getting started bcoz of this.

     

    Eventviewer shows appln error  

     

    Reporting queued error: faulting application Rtvscan.exe, version 10.1.7.7000, faulting module ntdll.dll, version 5.2.3790.3959, fault address 0x0000eef2.

     

    Also files are created in the below location

     

    C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Temp\WER372b.dir00

    Rtvscan.exe.hdmp

    Rtvscan.exe.mdmp

    What version and release of SEP 10.x are you on?

    What is the system configuration (OS version and service pack and hardware)?

    Please also include the eventid and a screen shot of the event.

    Either upgrade to 10.1.9.9000 Temporarily or Simple migrate to SEP 11.0.6200.xx as 10.x is out of market and has reached End of life by symantec support.
