Reduced client installation package export size
The size of the exported client installation package has been reduced. You can upgrade more clients with the client installation package in less time than before.

if you looking at the SEP

if you looking at the SEP folder under the CD1, then i believe it might be realted to AV and IPS definition which are included in the folder. These definition will be newer.

This is the package is for new clients, for existing clients, only related files will be replaced(using the client package created in SEPM or even the SEP folder under the cd1), hence they say reduced client size ( my understanding :-))

This refers to the autoupdate

This refers to the autoupdate delta size.  Previously we added definitions into the package, now we don't

Your autoupdate packages should be around 10-15MB (roughly, without checking)

Hi Paul,Yes!!! you are

Hi Paul,
Yes!!! you are right..

There was an enhancement request submitted to Symantec to exclude the signature from exported client package before MR4 release.

Also we have submitted another enhancement request to bundle the lastest signature ( available in SEPM not the CD1)  when ever you export a new client package. I have used update7 tool to do the same manually.

But unfortunately it is not taken care of within next four release ( MR4, MR4 MP1a, MR4 MP2 and RU5).

Thanks and Best Regards,

I thought the same thing. I

I thought the same thing. I was disappointed when I saw the size of the client package increased.
This is one of the reasons I updated to RU5 so quickly. Oh well. :)

Maybe documentation is

Maybe documentation is incorrect, or was expected to be smaller, but no bug, you are correct.  95mb is the client size.
