I downloaded Symantec_Endpoint_Protection_11.0.7_MP1_Xplat_En_DVD.zip and Symantec_Endpoint_Protection_11.0.7_Xplat_En_DVD.zip, I could not unzip none of them due to corruption or invalid. I used WinZip and Winzip7. Are these files really corrupted or I have to use a special apps to open it? Thanks.

    Files are download from https://fileconnect.symantec.com/

    Hello Cityboy,

Please check the disk space on the drive you are trying to extract the Downloaded setup.

I've had FileConnect downloads appear to complete 100% but in fact they didn't.  I now do SHA-1 checks to verify that what I downloaded is the same file Symantec posted.

Don't know about you but my SEP 11 s/n still pulls up zip files on FileConnect.  SEP 12 downloads have changed to self-extracting files.

I downloaded it three times...that's it! no more! the last time I downloaded, I kept an eye on it and it was cut off at 80%, the bad part is that it says "download completed successfully!"- ---Doing SHA-1 just showed me a list of numbers! I don't know what to do with it.

Anyway..anyone know any other sources I could download the file..not https://fileconnect.symantec.com/  please! thanks.

I'm sure there are other utilities out there but check out the following Microsoft KB article to calculate SHA-1 hash values for file validations.  The alpha-numeric string after clicking the SHA-1 link on FileConnect should match the one you calculate using an SHA-1 hash tool on your downloaded file.

However, if your downloads are getting cut off, perhaps you should open up a case with Symantec.  Even with an apparently successful d/l, I'd still do an SHA-1 to give you peace of mind that you got the whole file intact.

    Hi,

I would suggest to download it from better link. It's around 1.5 GB file.

I believe there won't be any issue from Symantec end.

Or else you can contact your reseller, he can ship CD's for you.

    Hello,

I have seen a lot of users facing this problem .

1)Try downloading it from a different machine in the network .

if the issue still persists try downloading at your home or another network .

    This would certainly help.

    Hello,

What is the size of the downloaded .zip file?

    Is that 1.6 GB?

Compare the size with the size shown on the fileconnect website.
