Run Commands On Group failing
Updated: 21 May 2010 | 5 comments
Hi,
After testing SEPM in our test environment, everything worked as planned. Recreated the test in our production environment and have the exact same configuration, the only thing I cannot do is Run Command On Group i.e. Scan or Update. None of the commands run.
If I select a single client or all clients in the group and use Run Commands on Clients, every single one functions as required.
Is there something I have missed?
TIA

In the Command Status, the scan will show but with o% update. Run the command on the 'Run Command On Client' completes fine.
If I cancel the scan, all clients report they received the command.

If you would like to see the progress on the clients, you will need to edit your antivirus policy to show the status of scans. To do this:
1. Go to Policies
2. Select your Antivirus and Antispyware policy.
3. Right click and choose edit.
4. Select Administrator-definied Scans.
5. Choose the Advanced tab.
6. Under the Advanced tab go to the bottom under Show Progress Options, click the drop-down box and choose Show scan progress or Show scan progress if risk detected.

Hi,
It's in the Monitors/Command Status - cannot attach a pic at the moment.
I have all the above set. I was just using the scan as an example. None of the commands run if I Update to Group. Sending commands to one or multiple clients works fine.

Detected the server has a faulty network card. Binned the server and rebuilt. Everything is fine. Thanks for the input.
