I'm currently importing all our software resources into CMS 7.1 (from 7.0) and testing the deliveries and have come across a problem.

In 7.0 we had a 24 hour Maintenance Windows and each policy was set to check for compliance at user login. Since the Agents were always within the Maintenance Window it would run as soon as the Agent picked up the policy. It would then run remediation immediately.

I have done the same thing in 7.1, but the policies will not run until the user logs in (despite the Maintenance Window being 24 hours again). The only way I can get the policy to run is by setting a second scheduled time set at 00:00. When I do this and save the policy I'm warned 'This policy's start time schedule has passed, therefore the policy will be enforced immediately after computers received their configuration update,' which is what I want. But I'd rather not have two schedules.

Does anyone know if this is normal behaviour, a bug, or have I configured it incorrectly?

This is currently the expected way for you to configure it.  That's because a maintenance window will be set to run, for example, "Every 4 hours starting at 00:00 until 24:00."  As a result, it does not run immediately when the computer is turned on.  For this functionality, add a scheduled time for 00:00 and set it to run in the past (e.g. yesterday).  As you can tell, when you save the policy it has already elapsed, so it will run immediately.

You have configured it correctly.

Set as my default. "00:00 No Repeat" will run the Compliance check (and remediation) as soon as the client picks up the policy and "12:10 Daily" to keep the machine in compliance.
