  • 1.  Running the A2I builder on a workstation

    Has anyone else been able to copy the PCT folder to a workstation and have it run successfully,  I have been try for several days and no luck. 

    The application will run on the server but when i copy it to a workstation, the a2ibuilder.exe app starts and I click next to create a new a2i file.  the app starts to search for applications and crashes with a microsoft error.    event ID 1000.  faulting application  a2ibuilder.exe.  version 6.8.1054.0.  

    Is there an upgraded version of the a2ibuilder.exe?  I have looked but I cannot locate one.

    Hi Greg- I am having the same problem. I have copied to my workstation and when trying to create an A2i file I get a Microsoft error

    error signature

    AppName: a2ibuilder.exe AppVer: 6.8.1058.0 ModName: a2ibuilder.exe

    ModVer: 6.8.1058.0 Offset: 000268d1

    Have not figured it out.

    I talked with our Symantec rep and they said new build files come out with new relaeses of DS.  but he did say we could look at teh help files and read up on the structure of how the a2i files are built and modify an already existing  a2i file to suit our needs.   not the greatest solution but  it is all I got.
