Hi all,

Recently we upgraded our SBS 2003 server to SEPP MR2
Also on this machine we have Mail Security for Exchange with Anti Spam add-on.

Since we upgrade to SEPP MR2 we get a runtime error on Mail security when we reboot the machine.
Here's the exact error.

Ms Visual C++ Runtime Library
Runtime Error!
Program: C:\Program Files\Symantec\SMSMSE\6.0\Server\SAVFMSESRV.exe
This application has requested the runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact...blabla.

The event logging is already stopped in this stage, so unfortunatily there are no further details about this.
We had not seen this error when we were still using Endpoint Protection MR1

Any suggestions???

Just found a small workaround.
First stop the Mail Security service, then reboot the machine.
Very anoying, but it works.

Nobody seen this issue??

After searching for a couple of days I decided to backup the settings and reinstall Mail Security.
It seems to have fixed the problem.

I guess SEPP MR2 installation breaks something in Mail Security.
A repair install from cd did not work.
Complete remove, reboot and reinstall did.
