Hi,
In order to troubleshoot issue on with the Cisco VPN Client, what is the way to safely remove SEP 12.1 RU1 MP1 client ?
this issue is affecting all of my Windows XP SP3 production support team, right after SEP 12.1 RU1 MP1 32 bit is deployed, the laptop is no longer able to connect to the VPN. Uninstalling the SEP client resulting in BSoD.

Either manual or clean wipe
Hello,
To understand the Root cause in your case, I would suggest you to pick 1 of the client machines and uninstall SEP components 1 after another from the Add / Remove Programs.
Control Panel >> Add/ Remove Programs >> Symantec Endpoint Protection >> Modify
This is to understand which component is causing this issue to occur and also keep the SEP protection on the laptops at the same time.
In case you want to uninstall SEP completely, then you may take either of the 4 ways.
1) Uninstall from Add /Remove Programs
2) Uninstall Manually
3) Symantec CleanWipe for SEP 12.1
4) SEPUninstaller (available in Tools DVD \NoSupport\SEPUninstaller
Hope that helps!!

John,
Remove the application and device control component only. This may be the likely cause. Same issue here, removed ADC, everything than worked fine.

Hi,
I understand that you have issues in connecting to VPN. Did you try disabling NTP and check? If you are not able to disable NTP then goto Add/ Remove Programs -> Symantec Endpoint Protection -> Modify and remove NTP componenet alone on one machine and check.
how is that possible for one client only ?
I assume that after the client uninstalled that component, the SEPM server will enable or install it again ?

Hi John,
Make sure that the group where this client located doesn't have any clinet installation packages assigned.
Though the NTP (FW and IPS) policies configured on the SEPM for this container if the client doesn't have the NTP component installed then those policies won't be effecftive.
HI,
