    hello frndz..

I have given a range IP's  for Symantec client installation in SEPM console. In that, same computer name havig three different ip's. When i was pinging  the same computer name, ping request  shows different ip. What could the problem. And one more problem is i have installed Symantec package remotely in reported PC's. It gets successful message also. But not reporting to SEPM console. Find the attachments for your reference.

    Cons..

I'm getting your question.. But my environment is DHCP..not static IP

It is always recommendable to keep static IP for SEPM. If it is not at all possible, create a new Management server list which contains only name of your SEPM and then assign it to clients.

It may be related to some wrong DNS cahe entries. Try by flusing the DNS cache...

From the looks of it, I would hazard a guess that this is not the result of a search of the network, but was auto-populated by an unmanaged detector on your network.

If this is the case, then this may explain the multiple entries for the single machine, as everytime an IP address expires and changes on the unknown client, it appears to be getting re-detected by the unmanaged detector as a 'new' unknown client.

The below article says you should be able to see the MAC address of this unknown client, can you confirm if the MAC address is the same on all your duplicates?

    Pete,

this is final doubt. Entering  the Administrator credentials is for SEPM or Clients PC's administrator password?.

if the administrator account is used and its password. can you try logging into machine with that account and try to start the SEPM service.

Also note required DB service is also started.
