Endpoint Protection

I've been trying for a few weeks to update the servers virus def.  I've done research and followed steps given on Symantec.  My server is stuck on 3/10/2009 rev 17.  So this will cause some of my client computers to be stuck on 3/10/2009 rev 17 (even if I try to update it manually through the intelligent updater).  But other computers I can update the virus def fine from the symantec center on the server.

I've went here and followed the directions on how to download the newest .xdb file (vd2d1a03.xdb) and update the server to the newest update.  But it is still stuck on 3/10/2009 rev 17.  We are still supported by Symantec because I have a few client computers that have the newest update (actually about 3/4 of the computers because I did it manually - not pushed out by the server).

Can anyone help me out here on how to update the server to the newest virus def?  I would greatly appreciate it!

Which version of SAV are you using?? Pls check whether SAV serices are running on the server or not.

Try uninstalling Liveupdate and then install the latest version of liveupate, restart the server and check whehter it gets definition update from Symantec or not.
