  • 1.  SAV for Linux SEPM Reporting question

    Posted Nov 03, 2013 11:37 PM

    Hey Guys,

Will the SAV for linux reporting work on SEPM 12.1.2?

This is what the manual said:

    ■ Symantec Endpoint Protection 11 RU5 or earlier
    ■ Symantec Endpoint Protection 11 RU6 MP2 with PP1 or later

I just want to make sure that this means "later" up to the 12.x or just later on the 11.x

    Thanks,

    100% Yes.

Even with 12.1 we do not have SEP client for Linux, its only SAV.

So All the SAV will fwd the logs.

    Hello,

SAV for Linux is designed as a stand-alone product. The client currently runs independently of a management console, though it is now possible to forward certain logs to the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager (SEPM) with SAVFL Reporter.

    Hope that helps!!

    Yes

    SEPM cannot manage SAV

All you can do is Forward logs from SAV clients to SEPM and view it under reports

This holds good for linux clients running SAV
